Google Amsterdam
Agile and flexible spaces are key to the design for the Amsterdam Google office. The concept for the office is built around spaces that can be used for different occasions. Movable furniture allows rooms to transform and adapt to different needs and requirements. Smart programming and the allocation of utility spaces ensures that a myriad of atmospheres can be created, varying from a collaborative office for smaller teams to vibrant happenings such as product launches, or combinations of both.
Dutch art movement The Style
Whilst conforming to Google’s international standards, the design of the Amsterdam office was inspired by local art movement De Stijl, infusing a distinctive identity into the building. The colorful material palette combined with sharp lines refers to the work of De Stijl’s artists.
The Google interior relates to the abstract Dutch art movement The Style founded by Theo van Doesburg, Piet Mondriaan and Gerrit Rietveld.

Comfortable and Expressive
Google’s colorful character is reflected in the design and defines different areas within the continuous space. The color scheme naturally represents the company’s identity and supports orientation and wayfinding. It is both expressive and comfortable.
Ted Talk space
The office can be used as a regular work floor with workstations and team tables, but also as an event center with two separate halls for large gatherings. Flexible walls, curtains and furniture invite a wide variety of layout options.
